Neil Conway
Managing Director
Hi there… I’m Neil, founder of Artificial Super Grass. I was born in Doncaster, South Yorkshire back in 1976 and have remained there ever since choosing to stick with my roots which I am very proud to call home. I’ve been married to the most amazing wife and business partner Claire for 19 years after first meeting at school. We also have 2 incredibly supportive children, Georgia 23 and Bailey 18 who have both already played very important parts of Artificial Super Grass’s growth and success.
Around 10 years ago I had the idea of creating an artificial grass supply and installation company due to my son and his football loving little friends completely wrecking our garden.
I had been heavily involved in the construction industry since leaving school… all the way through to 2008 so it was a new beginning which was relatively easy for me to adapt to allowing me to focus more on the installation side of things within the company. Since then, Artificial Super Grass has grown from strength to strength with now more focus than ever before on supplying to DIY customers, trade installers and retail stores throughout the country.
I’m very passionate about artificial grass and the services we provide at A.S.G but when I’m not focusing on the business, I love spending time with my family, eating, drinking and relaxing with a little bit of gym work thrown in. However, my favourite pastime has to be watching my son play football for his current footballing side.
Claire Conway

Hello... My name is Claire, and I am extremely proud to be one of the team members at a fantastic company named Artificial Super Grass.
I was born in 1974 and grew up in the little mining village called Dunscroft with my mum, dad, older brother and two older sisters. Dad was a local working miner at Hatfield Main Colliery and I still remain in Dunscroft today… In fact, living in the same street I grew up on all those many moons ago but now with my family.
Nowadays I live with my fantastic Hubby (owner of A.S.G), my amazing daughter Georgia (23yrs), my incredible son Bailey (18yrs), our two horses Conner & Charley and our grumpy dog Stanley.
For over 10 years I worked as a Driving Instructor running my own driving school teaching all different ages, ladies and gents the skills and knowledge they need to drive safely and pass their driving test, so I know how to remain calm in different situations.
2 years ago, i decided to give up my driving school to help Neil concentrate more on building Artificial Super Grass as it was becoming busier year on year. At the time the decision was an extremely difficult one but I knew I would love the challenge.
Due to my people skills, it made so much sense to join the office side of the business and fast-forward 2 years and I’m so very proud to now hold the role of ‘Operations Director’ helping provide a much more personal approach to all our valued customers.
I love our family business and it’s amazing to work with my husband and both my children, I can honestly say it has been the best decision I have ever made.
I love being part of the Artificial Super Grass Team but when I’m not working with my family I enjoy other family things like watching movies with my daughter, going for meals out and watching my son play football.
Ashley Smales

Hi guys… I’m Ashley, the latest member of the amazing Artificial Super Grass team.
I was born in Leeds in 1982 and stayed local through my teenage years and early 20’s. It was in Leeds where I met my wonderful partner Natalie and in 2009 we moved over to France which handed us both the incredible experience of living in an amazing country. In 2011 we moved back home to Leeds and it was around this time I first met Neil and Claire. Shortly afterwards in 2013 we moved over the Pennines to live in Greater Manchester due to family commitments.
Natalie and I have 2 incredibly talented children, Benjamin and Ronny. My eldest boy Benjamin is a professional football player at Southampton fc and my youngest boy is a Stoke City fc under 11’s player. My current family focus is on my 2 boys and love watching them showcase their skills.
Prior to joining the A.S.G team and for the last 8 years myself and Natalie have run a local business in Stockport which we loved dearly but felt the time was right for a new challenge.
After hearing of the vacant position available at Artificial Super Grass and long discussions between myself and Natalie, we both agreed it was an opportunity which couldn’t be missed. I was overjoyed when I got offered the role as ‘Sales Manager’ and the opportunity to work with all the amazing supportive team at A.S.G
It really does feel like one big team family and everybody involved has made me feel extremely welcome since arriving. I’m very focused on being a massive part of A.S.G’s future and helping them to continue to build and grow.
I would just like to say a massive thank you to Neil for bringing me onboard and trusting me to do an extremely important role at Artificial Super Grass and one I am relishing.
