3mm Green Powder Coated Artificial Grass U-Pins (50 Pack)

£21.00 inc. VAT

50 U-Pins per pack

Designed for a cleaner, more discreet finish, our 3mm green powder-coated artificial grass pins blend seamlessly into the grass pile, reducing visibility after installation.

Ideal for lower pile height grasses and projects where appearance matters most.

  • Professional finish.
  • Minimal visibility.

Why Choose Green Powder-Coated Pins?

Unlike standard galvanised silver pins, these green-coated U-pins are designed to visually disappear within the grass fibres.

Perfect for:

  • Artificial grass with 10mm–30mm pile height
  • Play areas
  • Shorter landscape grasses
  • Installations where fixings may be more visible

The green coating helps disguise fixings within the turf, creating a more natural overall appearance.

Where Should Green 3mm Pins Be Used?

Perimeter Fixing
Secure around the edges at approximately 200mm intervals if not using timber or composite edging.

Internal Stabilising
Add one pin per m² where required to prevent movement.

Joint Reinforcement
Use alongside joint tape and adhesive. Install every 200mm using a “zip effect” technique to bind seams evenly.

3mm Green vs Galvanised Pins – What’s the Difference?

  • Standard Galvanised (Silver) → Strong, cost-effective fixing
  • Green Powder-Coated → More discreet, improved finish

Both provide reliable fixing strength, but green pins are preferred when appearance is a priority in shorter grass pile heights.

How Many Green Pins Do I Need?

As a general guide:

  • Perimeter: 1 pin every 200mm
  • Internal area: 1 pin per m²
  • Joints: 1 pin every 200mm

A 50-pack typically secures approximately 15–20m² depending on layout and edging type. For larger areas or commercial projects, multiple packs may be required.

Will the Green Coating Fade?

The powder coating is designed for outdoor use and resistant to weather exposure. Once installed and concealed within the grass pile, pins remain discreet and protected.

Installation Tips

  1. Lay the artificial grass in position and secure one end first.
  2. Tension and stretch the artificial grass using a carpet kicker for a tight, professional finish.
  3. Work around the perimeter at 200mm intervals. Take care not to trap grass fibres when driving the pins into the ground.
  4. Add internal stabilising pins.
  5. Brush fibres upright to conceal pin heads.

When installed correctly, fixings are virtually invisible.
