Artificial Grass Nails – 150mm Galvanised (100 Pack)
Only 20p each
Our 150mm galvanised artificial grass nails are designed for securing artificial grass onto very hard ground or compacted sub-base where standard U-pins struggle to penetrate.
- Heavy-duty.
- Strong hold.
- Ideal for tough ground.
Why Use Artificial Grass Nails?
Artificial grass nails are typically used when:
- Ground is extremely compacted
- Hardcore or limestone sub-base is very dense
- MOT Type 1 has been heavily compacted
- U-pins bend or struggle to drive in
If your installation surface is hard and resistant, galvanised nails provide reliable anchoring strength.

Where Should Artificial Grass Nails Be Used?
Perimeter Fixing
Install around the edges at approximately 200mm intervals when not using timber or composite edging.
Hard Ground Conditions
Best suited for compacted hardcore, limestone, or heavily consolidated sub-base.
Nails vs U-Pins – What’s the Difference?
- U-Pins → Ideal for soil and standard sub-base
- Nails → Designed for very hard or dense ground
If U-pins are difficult to drive in or bending during installation, nails are the correct solution.
How Many Nails Do I Need?
As a general guide:
- Perimeter: 1 nail every 200mm
- Internal area (if required): 1 per m²
A 100-pack typically secures approximately 30–40m² depending on layout. For larger projects, additional packs may be required.
Installation Advice
- Lay the artificial grass in position and secure one end first.
- Tension and stretch the artificial grass using a carpet kicker for a tight, professional finish.
- Work around the perimeter at 200mm intervals. Take care not to trap grass fibres when driving the pins into the ground.
- Add internal stabilising pins.
- Brush fibres upright to conceal pin heads.
When installed correctly, fixings remain discreet within the grass pile.
