Professional Perimeter Support for Artificial Grass Installations

Our Artificial Grass Composite Edging is a strong, rot-proof perimeter board designed to create a secure retaining frame for artificial grass installations.

Unlike traditional timber, this recycled composite alternative will not rot, warp or degrade over time, making it the smarter long-term solution for both domestic and commercial landscaping projects.

Manufactured Sustainably

This edging is manufactured from 100% recycled plastic and does not require any new fossil raw materials in its production.

It offers the structural strength of timber while providing a far more environmentally responsible and durable alternative.

Dimensions

  • Length: 3000mm (3 metres)
  • Height: 50mm
  • Thickness: 25mm

Key Features

  • Suitable for straight edges
  • Flexible enough to create gentle curves
  • 25-Year durability rating
  • Rot-proof construction

Required Ratio for Installation:

When installing Composite Perimeter Edging alongside:

Composite Ground Spike Batten (3000mm long)

The recommended ratio is:

1 length of Composite Ground Spike Batten to 2 lengths of Composite Perimeter Edging (2:1 ratio).

This provides sufficient structural anchoring while maintaining cost efficiency and installation speed.

Example:

  • 8 lengths of Composite Perimeter Edging
  • Requires 4 lengths of Composite Ground Spike Batten

Composite Ground Spike (Pre-Cut 450mm)

The recommended ratio is:

4 lengths of Composite Ground Spike to 1 lengths of Composite Perimeter Edging (4:1 ratio).

This provides sufficient structural anchoring while maintaining cost efficiency and installation speed.

Example:

  • 3 lengths of Composite Perimeter Edging
  • Requires 12 lengths of Composite Ground Spikes

These ratios ensure a strong, stable perimeter frame.

Easy to Work With – No specialist equipment is required.

Drilling, sawing and screwing are all straightforward with this recycled composite edging. It can be worked just as easily and flexibly as traditional timber using standard woodworking or metalworking tools.

This makes installation simple for both professional installers and confident DIY customers.

What Is It Used For?

Composite edging is installed around the perimeter of your artificial grass area to:

  • Contain and retain the sub-base
  • Create a secure fixing edge
  • Prevent lateral movement
  • Deliver a clean, professional border finish

Ideal for:

  • Domestic gardens
  • Commercial landscaping
  • Play areas
  • Leisure environments
  • Raised lawn sections
  • Curved feature lawns

Why Choose Composite Over Timber?

  • Completely rot-proof
  • Moisture resistant
  • Structurally stable
  • Long lifespan (25-year durability class)
  • Cleaner professional finish
  • Lower long-term maintenance
  • Made from 100% recycled plastic

Timber may soften, swell or degrade over time when in ground contact. Composite edging provides a stronger and more permanent perimeter structure.

How to Install (Correct Method)

  1. Cut to required length.
  2. Position around the perimeter of your prepared sub-base.
  3. Secure using our Composite Ground Spike Batten or Pre-Cut Ground Spikes.
  4. Fix artificial grass to the edging using appropriate screws.

For maximum stability, spikes should be installed at regular intervals along the edging.
