EASY MEASURE GUIDE

Artificial Super Grass has designed a DIY easy measuring guide to assist you in working out how many square metres of Artificial Grass and Artificial Lawn accessories you will require.

By following a step by step process below you will be able to work out all of the quantities required for your new designer Fake Lawn .

Our measuring guide below is available to download and print ‘HERE’.

Below are a few examples of how we measure our projects for customers requiring a new Artificial Lawn

DIY EASY MEASURING STEPS

STEP 1

MEASURE WIDTH – Measure the width of the area where your Artificial Lawn is to be installed, all of our Artificial Super Grass products are available in 2 metre and 4 metre widths. This will determine how wide you want to purchase your Artificial Grass rolls, where your overall width exceeds 4 metres, purchase multiple rolls to cover the full width of your project area.

STEP 2

MEASURE LENGTH – Measure the length of the area where your Artificial Lawn is to be installed, all of our Artificial Super Grass products are available up to 25 metres long. When measuring the length remember to allow for any unusual shapes or bends in the area where you’re new Artificial Grass is to be laid, if a joint is required start your tape measure where the first roll width will end at approximately 4 metres.

STEP 3

WEED BARRIER MEMBRANE – Once you have worked how many square metres of Artificial Grass you require for your project, you will then know the quantity of SUPERSuppressorweed barrier membrane required. Simply add an extra 10% onto your Artificial Super Grass quantity; this will give you the amount of weed barrier needed. This amount of surplus is always recommended for overlaps; see the guide below for examples.

STEP 4

JOINT TAPE – Simply add all the total metres together where you are going to have any joints in yourArtificial Super Grass.

E.g. If your project area is over 4 metres wide there will be a joint in the Artificial Grass all the way down the length; therefore at the 4 metre wide point, measure the length ofSUPERTape required from front to back. The same applies if the area where you are laying your Artificial Lawn is over 8 metres wide, you will then have 2 joints to measure. See the guide below for more information on Artificial Grass Joints.

STEP 5

JOINT ADHESIVE – Our SUPERStick joint adhesive is applied to the joint tape by silicone gun and spatula, to calculate the quantity required simply divide the total amount of joint tape needed by 4, see the guide below for more information on required adhesive.
